Guest Post-Holiday Decorating Ideas

Hi, I'm Susi, a writer for Design Shuffle, a wonderful place for designers and design lovers to showcase their work and find inspiration. I'm so happy to be here at Viva Revival as a guest blogger today. My post is about handsome décor for the holidays and I was inspired by Michelle's jewelry to look for handcrafted inspired decorating ideas. Enjoy and Happy Holidays!
Holiday Decor
Holiday decorating begins at the front door. Using an unexpected three wreaths instead of one really makes a beautiful statement on the door. Holiday Decor
Some of the most handsome holiday decorations are also the simplest. Large pine cones hung by white ribbons from a garland make for a beautiful display in a window or on a banister.

An all white palette makes for a frosty holiday mantle. Silvery and glittery highlights add sparkle to these vintage inspired white holiday decorations. There are lots of great DIY ideas here.

Another beautiful mantle combines natural greenery and pretty metallics in silver and green. Mixing organic and vintage elements gives this décor a nostalgic feeling. Holiday Decor
What a lovely holiday addition to an appealing traditional interior design! We do this at our house with a small vintage tinsel tree. It stands on a beautiful table in the foyer where both table and tree are part of the holiday décor. This is also a fabulous dining room design idea! Holiday Decor
This sweet tree has charming red and white ornaments that would work as decorations around the home: along a mantle; used as garland; grouped together in a bowl on the table. I love the miniature trees along the window sill.

A natural tree that has a Charlie Brown charm can still get the glamour treatment. The ornament garland is beautiful against the antique chair and patterned wallpaper. Holiday Decor
This tree made me think of Dr. Seuss with its whimsical ornaments and bright colors. It certainly is a non-traditional tree that is playful and colorful. The image is going straight to my living room designs file under holiday ideas. Like what you see? 1. Great ideas! I love the pink room and the crazy tree. It wouldn't work in my house, but I LOVE it! I think I must secretly want a girly room.
