Meet Cari Wible:
My background in fashion translates to very
glamorous and editorial images that tell a story-your story. My
commitment is to be a fond memory of this experience and not to dictate
your day. These are your memories, I'm just here to document them-your
way. More often than not, I am friends with my brides afterward...that's the best part!!
How do you make your clients feel more comfortable in front of the camera?
I really approach the individual differently, the brides tend to be
ready to go and typically need very little prompting. The grooms on the
other hand....I usually just let them know ahead of time how important
it is to be themselves and that I'm willing to make a fool of myself to
make them laugh. After that it's more about just letting them enjoy
their time together and being there to catch it with my camera. However,
my trick for a natural smile is to have them motor boat their mouth....It keeps their cheeks from hurting, loosens their mouth to help their
smile be more natural and as a bonus usually makes them laugh!
How can someone prepare for an engagement or portrait shoot?
I tell everyone to have 2-3 outfits, this gives you variety in the pictures. Look like you!! Do your hair and makeup like you would do on any semi special day BUT 10% more. And this sounds silly, but practice in the mirror, know what smile and eyes you like. It's important to be prepared but to still be yourself.

What is your favorite part about photographing weddings?
I love that moment when I realize I got a picture of the couple being themselves and truly in love. It sounds cheesy, but I'm a hopeless romantic and it's just so fun to see that spark. Sometimes it's when they kiss, sometimes it's the whisper after that kiss...LOVE IT!!
