Anniversary gifts for him

There are traditional gifts and modern gifts you're *supposed* to give to your spouse for your wedding anniversary. Since we have just celebrated our first wedding anniversary the traditional anniversary gift is paper and the modern anniversary gift is plastic/clock. Eh, I'm not so much for tradition. But, I did make sure to get my honeybear a card. It was serendipitous that I also got him a plastic rubik's cube clock for his desk. Score! Now, I feel that I must stick with the recommended, but if you don't here are some great anniversary gifts for men from the talented artists on Etsy. Want to know your anniversary gift recommendation? Here's a very detailed article on wikipedia.

I truly think #2 says it best. Well, number 1 as well, since we are the Smiths. Just not officially, since I haven't gotten around to changing my last name yet. I'm at Smith at heart.
Are you into these traditional anniversary gifts? What did you and your spouse give each other for your first anniversary.

  1. Great roundup of ideas for anniversary gifts! Especially like the alphabet photos and the buttons.

  2. Were those buttons custom made for you? ;)
I haven't changed my last name either. Almost eight years later and I don't think it's happening. Though, it has started to become a tiny issue now that I have kids - Everyone has my husband's last name except me. I wasn't even trying to be a feminist about the change either...I just hate going to the DMV and SS office. Ugh!

    1. I know it, they may as well have been! Crafty and nerdy must be a common marital combination.

That is my problem. Although I'd be a little sad to lose my last name and I've always been feminist about it, but I'd kind of like to have the same last name. But, ugh what work.

  3. I really like all of these, and wish I had a spouse to give one of them to. I have been married, but got divorced many years ago and now I'm a single woman.

Well, Alphabet Art photos I could get for myself... :-)

Glad you like my Daily dose of quirkiness, we all need something to make us smile :-)

  4. Number 2 is rather awesome... Although my partner is a fishing nerd not a techy nerd. Lovely finds! You don't have to change your name if you don't want to. You are still a family.
