The Field Museum Chicago

My friend Cari is in town for a few days. We did our standard things...went to Hot Chocolate for brunch (heaven), tapas at Tapas Barcelona and something kinda touristy. We went to the Field Museum yesterday and saw the fascinating Whales exhibit. Then, Cari taught me how to find my F-stop and I played around with it in front of the museum. We had our first big snow fall late last week and I've been just antsy to get some pictures of it.

Today is the last day of the Whales exhibit. It's definitely well worth a trip. There are the huge skeletons of whales and who knew they had so many bones!

  1. Great pictures!

Did you hear the Field is going to have a special mummy exhibit soon? I'm thinking I'll have to get in for that one.

  8. Jessi, you should definitely go again! They're special exhibits are great. Just wish it wasn't quite so expensive.

Ada-Not all of my pictures came out good. It's kind of trial and error at this point. We'll see how the next batch came out!

Thanks Chelsea. I think I went to King Tut too. I can't remember. I've been to too many museums lately, lol!

  9. Great photos, M. The f-stop got you some nice depth of field. It's always a trial and error for me, as well. We just have to keep practicing. That whale exhibit looks amazing.

  10. Thanks inspiration! I need to read up on Leslie's photography section of the class. I remember she had some good information. I'm too lazy to look at my entire manual, blah.
